Enhanced Podcast
You can export annotated video files to create an Enhanced Podcast (EPC) Media File by choosing 'Timeline / Export' from the menu in any mode.
An Enhanced Podcast (EPC) is an MPEG-4 Audio file with Embedded Pictures & URL Linked Captions. The pictures and links can be timed. In Frameline 47, each segment boundary acts as a ‘Chapter’. (Please note that Groups have no meaning in Podcast Export).
Creating Chapters
A Cut on the Timeline in the Edit Window represents an EPC Chapter Start point. You can cut, clear & move the boundaries (see Cut). After your video is segmented, the middle frame of each segment will be the chapter image that will be seen in the EPC file.
You can change this frame by moving the playhead to another position and choosing 'Timeline / Set Poster Frame' from the Menu, or using the Keyboard shortcut ‘Shift + Apple + P’.
Naming Chapters
Name chapters of your EPC with the Segment Name text box, press enter to add or escape to cancel. Move to name another segment using the scrubber or segment navigation buttons:

Adding Chapter URL & URL Label Data
You can add a clickable URL to each chapter of your Enhanced Podcast file by adding URL and URL label information to the corresponding fields found at the bottom of the Word Notation pane in Notate Mode:

Notes on Enhanced Podcast Export
By default, frameline metadata is embedded into enhanced podcast files, meaning that they can be used to store metadata, which can be 'matched' back to video files by using the match metadata function.
Chapter ‘Frame Rate’
An Enhanced Podcast can only have a ‘frame rate’ of 1 frame per second (1 fps). Therefore, if your segments are closer than 1 second together, they will be discounted. So, for best results, choose ‘set poster frame to the first frame of segments’ from the Preferences/Poster Frame Menu, then when cutting in the edit window, choose the still image you would like to represent that ‘chapter’, and create a segment boundary (cut) at that point.
Appearance of Images
The images will appear timed alongside the audio track. When they appear depends on the position of the segment boundary. When the audio playback goes over that boundary, the change in image will occur. When choosing poster frames, bear in mind that they may well be displayed earlier than you expect.
