File Annotation
File Annotation enables you to apply descriptive information that will apply to the entire media file. You can access the File Annotation sheet by clicking on the ‘File Annotation’ button on the File Window (only available once a media file has been selected).

File Annotation descriptors are similar in nature to the ID3 tags found in .mp3 files. Data fields that show up with blue text indicate that they are either for URL’s or contact emails.
To access the File Annotation Window
1. Click on the 'File Annotation' button
2. Choose 'File / Show File Annotation' from the Menu
3. Use the Keyboard shortcut cmd + U

Multiple File Annotation
File Annotation may be applied to multiple files. To do this, select the files you wish to annotate in the File Window, by either shift + clicking or cmd + clicking to select multiple files, then open the file annotation window. You will not be able to apply a full name or file image to multiple files.
Note: Saving Multiple File Annotations may take some time. This is because the File Annotation Data is saved into the video file itself, which requires a process of opening, saving into & closing the actual file, rather than just updating a database. Please refer to saving for more information.
File Links
There are five different links that can be applied to individual video files. Both a name and a URL (internet address) or an email address can be added to files in the file Annotation Window.
• File URL
• Creator
• Producer
• Copyright
• Distributor
Note: These links can be tested by clicking on the corresponding icon in the File Annotation Window. When exporting video to HTML, these file links will be included by default in the HTML output.
