Playhead

The Playhead is the name given to the graphic that sits on the timeline and represents the position of the current frame.

Please note that in both edit & notate modes, the Playhead is coloured white when Poster Frame Scrubbing is switched on. Poster frame scrubbing shows images rather than video while scrubbing through the timeline.

Playhead Shortcuts

In the edit & notate windows, you can move the playhead frame by frame or to segment or group boundaries by using keyboard shortcuts:

JKL Keyboard Shortcuts

Frameline 47 now supports the common JKL keyboard shortcuts. These shortcuts are a great way to scrub back and forward through video with only the keyboard;

Pressing J - will play the video backwards x 1
Pressing J - twice will play the video backwards x 2
Pressing J - three times will play the video backwards x 4
Pressing J - four times will play the video backwards x 8

Pressing K - will stop video playback

Pressing L - will play the video forward at normal speed
Pressing L- twice will play the video forwards x 2
Pressing L- three times will play the video forwards x 4
Pressing L- four times will play the video forwards x 8
